I’m writing this short post because I quite often get asked how I manage to run my business especially when I’m travelling all over the place. With clients in over 25 countries and staff in more than one country, I needed a system which allowed me to synchronise files at different levels.
I’ve used several cloud based systems and one of the systems that I’m currently using quite a bit is Dropbox. Dropbox has proven invaluable for both my business and personal life in more ways than one.
Here’s just a few of the things that I’ve been able to do with Dropbox:
Share personal photos and videos with friends and family
Share large files and documents with staff and clients across international borders
Backup important files and documents in seconds
Automatically backup websites
Synchronise my data across several laptops, PCs, iPads and smart phones
And here are just a few of the reasons why I use Dropbox:
No downtime so my information is safe
Can be installed in less than 2 minutes
Allows access to deleted files
Saves me from carrying CDs and Hard Drives with when travelling or visiting clients
Very very easy to implement and requires hardly any IT skills
So there you have it. Why don’t you give Dropbox a go – it’s really simple to use and you can setup in under 2 minutes, and for most people it’s free.
Use the link below to get Dropbox and you’ll get an extra 500 MB storage for FREE:
Times have changed. Today, Online CVs are an absolute must regardless of whether you’re a business owner or employee.
As a business owner, the more information you have online, the more searchable you and your products and services become ultimately resulting in more business for you. As an employee, showcasing your skills and achievements online will increase your reach exponentially which could help you get headhunted into roles that you are more suited to, resulting in quicker career progression.
Having a searchable Online CV allows you to become the Key Person of Influence in your niche or market. Key People of Influence always get the best jobs, the best contracts and the best remuneration packages because they are perceived to be the best people for the job.
Let’s face it; it’s a tough market out there. And to get recognised today, you need to do something that your competitors are not doing. Currently less than 1% of people have an Online CV. However, this number is set to grow as people begin to understand the power of the internet.
To find more information on how to build your online presence via an Online CV, please go here today:
Let’s face it, it’s a tough job market out there and it’s destined to get worse. Whether you’re looking for a career move or not, now’s the right time for you to differentiate yourself from your competitors. 10 years ago, the traditional CV posted or faxed to an employer worked. 5 years ago, it was more the norm to email your CV to an employer or a Recruitment Agent.
Today, as hundreds are losing their jobs daily, you need to be a bit more creative.
Today, you are more likely to be headhunted especially if you’re a top achiever, or hoping to be a top achiever.
But wait a minute………..
How do you get headhunted if nobody knows who you are?
………..and how do you get people to know you?
Gone are the days when you would email your CV to hundreds of Recruitment Agents hoping and praying that one might take a liking to your CV and send it off to a willing employer.
Today, you need to build yourself a positive presence on the Internet. Up to 90% of employers do Google searches on candidates prior to pulling them in for interview. If the employer doesn’t like what they see, you wont get the interview – it’s as simple as that.
Why don’t you do a quick Google search on yourself today to check to see what information there is about you. Having nothing on Google is sometimes as bad as having negative information, so it pays to have a good positive online presence.
The more positive information, you have about yourself on Google, the more someone will want to do business or work with you…..and I’m not talking about your LinkedIn or Facebook profiles.
With total Internet users topping 2 billion, if you want to stay in a job, find a better job, or even that elusive contract you need to be present and searchable online. As I’m writing this post, there are employers searching the web looking for candidates to fill their vacancies. And if you don’t have your CV online, you may as well be in a black hole.
By having a CV online, I’m not talking about being present on the hundreds of job sites. These job sites are great if your future employer is also a member. However, what good are they if the top recruiters are not searching them?
My Online CV is your own personal website and is dedicated to Employees and Business Owners and enables you to have your Search Engine Optimised CV on the Internet allowing other businesses and employers to find you for future contracts and work.
In the next few days, I’ll be publishing a series of videos explaining a bit more about this service and how you can get your CV Online quickly and for a budget suited to your pocket.
Please find above my first video of the series where I illustrate the importance of having an Online CV. The same is true regardless of whether you are a Business Owner or an Employee.
To summarise, before another business will want to do business with you or take you on as an employee, it will want to know as much as possible about you. As part of its due diligence, the company will do a Google search both on you and your company if you have one. The business is likely to accept everything Google tells them about you, good or bad!
An Online CV can help you build a great positive profile about yourself. To find more information on how to build your online presence via an Online CV, please go here today:

This story recently dropped into my inbox and I just had to share it with you. I hope you like it is as much as I did.
One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey. So he invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realised what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.
With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer’s neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!
So what’s the moral of this story?
Getting to your end goal will not always be easy. Life will test you – you will get all kind of dirt thrown at you to get you to lose track. However, once you can prove to the Higher Being or Life that you are ready to take on the commitment required to achieve your goal, then and only then will you be in a position to achieve the goal that you set out to achieve.
In a nutshell. keep at it, never give up and aim to be the best at whatever it may be …………………… and you will get there….. trust me.
